GREEN and FORSTER VETERINARY SURGEONS
Green and Forster is a long-established and independent, mixed practice based on the Isle of Wight, owned and run by local veterinary surgeons with an experienced and dedicated support team. Our aim is to provide a friendly, first class service at affordable prices where the care and well-being of the patient is paramount. Our main surgery is in Newport, where in addition to consulting, all surgical operations and in depth investigations are performed. We also have branch surgeries for consulting in Ventnor, Yarmouth and Freshwater. We offer a wide range of consulting times and can see clients either by appointment or at one of our many open or 'walk-in' surgeries. In addition to performing routine veterinary procedures, we are well equipped to deal with most medical and surgical problems arising in pets, farm animals and exotic species and are well used to performing visits where required. (We do not currently treat horses but are happy to direct clients to local practices which do). We provide our own dedicated 24 hour emergency service for our clients.

History and Premises
The main practice in Newport was set up on its current site in the 1960's. Although the original partners have since retired they have been replaced in turn by serving veterinary assistants, ensuring continuity and stability within the practice. The current directors, Dr Ian Green and Miss Sarah Forster became partners in the practice in 1993 and 2001 respectively.
Over the years the main premises have been expanded, modernised and refurbished and now include 3 consulting rooms, 2 kennel rooms, an isolation ward, waiting rooms, 4 operating theatres, an x-ray suite, laboratory, pharmacy and sterilisation room. These main premises have a car park and can be accessed from Carisbrooke Road or Castle Road.
Our branch surgeries are used for consulting purposes only. Whilst there is a car park at Yarmouth, clients should be aware that there is no private parking available at either our Ventnor or Freshwater Surgeries and if arriving by car you will normally need to either use on street parking (usually available outside our Freshwater branch) or one of the council car parks in the towns.
